Hi friends,
Charlie. My friend. I am praying for your soul, for Erika, and your two sweet babies.
Christ have mercy. I’m utterly sick.
But you can see it happening; people’s eyes are opening.
It’s impossible to overstate how jarring it is— People suddenly realizing that the Left assassinated Charlie Kirk because of his views. OUR views.
Charlie was normal. You’re normal.
Charlie wasn’t radical, extreme, bombastic, or even edgy.
He was a … regular guy. One of us.
And the Left killed him—for that.
How many people woke up today with the chilling clarity that, given the chance, the Left wants you dead too?
An incredible red wave is about to storm America. If you thought people were red-pilled by BLM riots or COVID vaxx mandates, just wait.
A cultural revolution is on the horizon.
A lion has been awakened.
By Charlie. For Charlie.
There are two options for what's going to happen in the days and the weeks to come in our country. And it's hard to think about because when you're in the fog of grief, it's hard to see past the end of your own nose.
But I'll tell you what the Left wants to happen. The Left wants us to descend into civil war. The Left wants the assassination of Charlie Kirk to cause one of us to do something evil too.
And we can't let that happen.
The other option is this great awakening in which people realize that we need to recalibrate not just our politics, not just our activism, but our priorities.
Charlie was always unafraid and he knew how to communicate a value that someone else might not like in a way that made the person who might not like the value at least understand where he was coming from.
Charlie is almost single-handedly responsible—through his courage, advocacy, and his voice behind the scenes—for some of the most significant pro-humanity policies that we've ever seen in the United States government. And I know because I was there.
And yet, that's not what Charlie wanted to be known for.
Only a few months ago, Charlie was asked, "How do you want to be remembered?"
Charlie responded, “I want to be remembered for courage for my faith. That that would be the most important thing. The most important thing is my faith in my life.”
Over a decade ago, Charlie posted on X, "Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much."
If you want to honor Charlie, don't respond with hate and with violence. This is why Charlie was so passionate about debating. He once said, "When people stop talking, that's when you get violence. That's when civil war happens. Because you start to think the other side is so evil and they lose their humanity."
And we're not going to do that.
We're going to pray for Charlie's soul. We're going to pray for Erika. We're going to pray for their babies.
And we're going to pray for our country. And we're going to grieve.
We're going to go to church.
And we're going to order our own lives towards Christ because we never know when our time will be up.
And we're going to recognize the reality of this political enemy that we face. And we're going to defeat it.
Because in the end, Christ wins.
Don't be silenced. Don't be cowed.
Love your family. Love each other.
For Charlie,
Liz Wheeler
